Keep It Simple

Our motto is: "Keep it Simple."   Simplifying our lives can be an enriching experience.  And when it comes to caring for your baby, the wisdom in this adage becomes all the more apparent.  With all the baby gadgetry available today, caring for your child can seem daunting and complex.  Our goal is to offer our customers an alternative. Take a look around our site, and we think you will quickly catch on to the idea.

The products we carry are the products we use and love.  Taken as a whole, they offer a vision of simplicity: quality products that are better for you, your baby, and the world we share.

Wearing you baby

For us, the best way to maintain simplicity was to wear our son, Gabriel, in a sling.  A sling keeps your baby close and happy.  In short, it keeps things organic.  You will be amazed at how the sling brings your baby into your life and routine so completely and naturally.  The benefits are astounding and numerous--you can read more about this on the "Benefits of Baby Wearing" page.  Feel free to experiment with different carrying positions and even try a few of your own derivations on the traditional ones, provided of course that your little one is safe and secure. For photos and tips on  some possible tying positions, visit the DIDYMOS carrying positions page.

Cloth Diapering

To new parents, cloth diapering can seem overwhelming.  The greatest reason for this feeling is the lack of presence of cloth diapering in today's culture.  The reality is that cloth diapering, whilst being both easy and economical, is also fun and even a little stylish.  Cloth diapering can be simple.  Little Beetle diapers are all the above: easy, economical, stylish and simple.  Tips and ideas on how to get started can be found on the  Cloth Diapering Basics page.

Co-sleeping (the family bed)

There are a myriad of bed sharing philosophies from the occasional couple of extra hours of morning sleep to ecological breastfeeding. Sometimes parents are not sure which nighttime strategy is best for their family. Aware of the complexities of being a parent, Tres Tria is an ideal product to suit the growing and changing needs of families as they try to find harmony in their nighttime routines.

Care Products

A baby's skin needs extra tender care. But couldn't we all use more gentle care products? Unfortunately, the products we so often use to care for our bodies actually do harm to both ourselves and the environment.  Here are some alternatives from Jason and Weleda that we love for babies as well as for mom and dad.

Nutrition

I think we can all agree that much of the food we eat today is devitalized and lacking in nutrients. Here are a few simple ways and products to introduce some raw food options into you and your baby's diet.

Take the OXO-Good Grips grater for an example. Run a piece a fruit or veg across it and voila quick baby food whether at home or about town.

Have others help you get the things you and your little one need to keep it simple!
